Tender Description
Nala Local Municipality is inviting bids for the fencing of the sports facility at Monyakeng, Wesselsbron. The project involves removing the existing fencing and constructing a durable, high-security perimeter fencing system to improve safety and prevent unauthorised access.
Scope of Work
- Demolition and removal of the existing palisade/precast fencing.
- Excavation of 450mm × 450mm × 450mm footings.
- Casting of 15MPa concrete foundations.
- Installation of 189 taper-locking posts and 4 square posts, 2.7m high.
- Installation of 192 ClearVu Invisible Wall mesh panels.
- Construction and installation of:
- 2 single-leaf swing gates.
- 1 single-leaf sliding gate.
- Installation of 1,536 anti-climb devices.
- Supply, delivery and transportation of fencing and civil materials.
- Site establishment and removal.
- Utility relocation where required.
- Community liaison, health and safety and security personnel for four months.
- Basic landscaping.
Technical Requirements
- Compliance with SANS 1200D and SANS 1200A.
- 450mm × 450mm × 450mm concrete footings using 15MPa concrete.
- Steel components must have galvanization and aluminium coating.
- Mesh fencing must be correctly tensioned and aligned.
- Gates must meet the specified dimensions and security requirements.
- Safe coordination of existing water, electricity and Telkom services.
- Full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Skills and Experience
Bidders should demonstrate:
- Experience in civil construction and heavy-duty fencing installation.
- Experience with concrete footings and excavation.
- Technical ability to install proprietary mesh fencing systems.
- Project management and subcontractor coordination skills.
- Knowledge of SANS 1200 measurement protocols and PSAA contractual requirements.
- Ability to provide/manage health and safety, community liaison and security personnel.
- Experience working safely around existing utilities.
- Basic landscaping capabilities.
