    Job Title: Senior Financial Administration Officer: PERSAL Training (x2 Posts)

    Company Overview:
    The Free State Provincial Treasury is committed to sound financial governance and capability building across provincial departments. As the custodian of financial systems and compliance, the Treasury plays a critical role in supporting effective human resources and payroll management through systems like PERSAL. The department is looking for two experienced professionals to lead PERSAL training and support initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and update training materials and user manuals for PERSAL

    • Provide PERSAL training to users across Free State Provincial and National Departments

    • Support Personnel and Salary Controllers with PERSAL-related challenges, including evaluation, registration, and SCC follow-ups

    • Compile and disseminate PERSAL circulars and practice notes to promote compliance with national and provincial standards

    • Maintain and update key PERSAL tables (805, 806, 822, 815) to ensure system accuracy and functionality

    Qualifications:

    • A relevant tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6 or higher)

    • At least three (3) years of experience with PERSAL in HR or salary administration

    • Completion of official PERSAL training courses

    • Knowledge of:

      • PERSAL system functionalities

      • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

      • Treasury Regulations

    Skills:

    • Strong computer literacy

    • Effective presentation and training delivery skills

    • Solid problem-solving and communication capabilities

    • Ability to create clear training materials and facilitate sessions for diverse users

    Benefits:

    • Salary: R325,101 per annum (Level 07) – basic salary
