    JOB OVERVIEW

    Job Title: Supply Chain Practitioner
    Company: Free State Department of Agriculture and Rural Development
    Location: Glen, Free State (Logistics Management)
    Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
    Salary: R325,101 per annum (Level 07)

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and maintain Supply Chain Management (SCM) practices including:

      • Ordering, payments, warehousing, transit (IN/OUT), and quotations

    • Approve transactions on LOGIS / BAS according to delegation (preferably at level 9 or higher)

    • Handle SCM-related enquiries and ensure compliance with policy and procedures

    • Guide and advise department personnel on SCM matters to ensure effective and correct implementation

    • Supervise staff and resources, ensuring quality and efficiency in daily operations

    • Conduct personnel development, performance assessments, and ensure staff discipline

    • Oversee administrative functions related to logistics and supply chain

    Qualifications:

    • NQF Level 6 qualification or equivalent

    • Formal training in LOGIS and BAS systems is required
