Responsibilities:

Process, compile, and monitor research outputs.

Communicate research-related documents to Deans, faculties, and staff.

Compile training manuals and provide training to capturers.
-
Update and maintain e-forms and backend of the Research Information Management System (RIMS).
-
Review and capture research outputs; circulate for internal review.
-
Liaise with authors, capturers, DHET, and external auditors.
-
Prepare documentation for journal audits and handle audit enquiries.
-
Generate and provide research reports and statistics to management and departments.
-
Manage general administrative tasks related to research outputs.
-
Administer financial aspects including Research Awards payment summaries and claims.
-
Coordinate meetings, agendas, and honorarium payments for journal editors.
-
Serve as primary contact between UFS, DHET, and other research entities regarding research output matters.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree, advanced diploma/BTech (NQF Level 7) or a three-year national diploma (NQF Level 6).

Minimum 2 years relevant experience related to research administration.

Proven experience with Scival, RIMS, and ROSS systems.
