     Job Purpose 

    The role focuses on ensuring efficient dispensary operations and delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care, while meeting sales, compliance, and customer service targets.

    The pharmacist plays a key role in maintaining safe dispensing practices, regulatory compliance, and excellent patient care.

    Minimum Requirements

     Education

    • Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)

     Experience

    • Retail pharmacy experience

    • Experience with Unisolve system (preferred)

     Key Knowledge Areas

    • SAPC regulations and legal compliance

    • Ethical pharmaceutical practices

    • Stock, risk, and cost management

    • Patient care and professional counselling

    • Customer service excellence

     Key Responsibilities

     Pharmaceutical Care

    • Provide safe, accurate dispensing (including generic substitution)

    • Offer professional advice and patient counselling

    • Ensure compliance with SAPC regulations

     Dispensary Operations

    • Manage stock, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration

    • Maintain operational efficiency of the dispensary

    • Ensure compliance with company and legal standards

     Performance & Targets

    • Achieve dispensary and clinic performance targets

    • Support sales growth and customer loyalty initiatives

     Team Leadership & Development

    • Train and support Pharmacist Assistants and Interns

    • Ensure staff competency and development

     Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build relationships with suppliers, distribution centres, and management

    • Collaborate with clinic teams for integrated healthcare services
