Job Description
The Finance Intern role is designed for recent graduates who want practical workplace experience in finance and business operations. The intern will support financial administration, reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, compliance, and analysis activities that assist the organisation in making informed financial decisions.
The position offers exposure to finance systems, reporting processes, stakeholder collaboration, and internal financial controls within a large retail environment.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Financial Support
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support cost tracking and financial reporting
- Help with month-end finance processes
Reporting and Analysis
- Assist with reconciliations and variance analysis
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Analyse financial information for accuracy and completeness
Financial Administration
- Process and track financial transactions
- Validate financial information and documentation
- Maintain accurate financial records
Compliance and Governance
- Support audits and compliance activities
- Ensure financial documentation complies with internal controls and procedures
Stakeholder Support
- Work with teams across the business
- Assist in providing financial information for decision-making
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have recently completed a qualification in:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Financial Management
- Management Accounting
- Business Management
- Economics
- or a related field
