Main Purpose of the Job
The successful candidate will:
- Develop academic material
- Lecture allocated subjects across programmes

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching, Learning and Assessment
- Prepare and present lectures
- Develop learning materials
- Assess and evaluate students
Administration
- Handle academic administration and reporting
- Maintain student and departmental records
Student Evaluation
- Conduct tests, assignments, and examinations
- Monitor student performance
Research
- Produce research publications
- Participate in conferences
- Supervise postgraduate students
Community Service
- Participate in projects linked to teaching and research
Organisation and Control
- Coordinate academic activities
- Support departmental operations

Minimum Requirements
For Senior Lecturer
Applicants must have:
- A Doctorate degree (NQF Level 10) in:
- Business Administration
- Business Management
- or a related qualification
AND
- A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in:
- Office Management and Technology (OMT)
- Business & Information Management (BIM)
- Secretaryship
- or equivalent competency
AND
- Four years of teaching/lecturing experience in the relevant field
Additional requirements:
- Research publications and conference presentations
- Postgraduate supervision experience
- Community project involvement
Research expectations include:
- 1.5 research credit outputs
- Supervision of completed master’s students
- Conference presentations including at least one international presentation
For Lecturer
Applicants must have:
- A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in:
- Business Administration
- Business Management
AND
- A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in:
- OMT
- BIM
- Secretaryship
- or equivalent competency
AND
- At least two years of teaching, lecturing, or industry experience
Desired Requirements for Lecturer
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Progress towards a Doctorate degree
