Role Purpose
The District Coordinator will be responsible for managing operations related to the Central Chronic Medicine Dispensing and Distribution (CCMDD) programme within the province. This includes employee oversight, stakeholder relationship management, query resolution, and the rollout of services at healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance, support growth, and maintain high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Programme & Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with CCMDD stakeholders (provincial, district, facility-level, and partner organisations).
Facilitate and present at district and ad hoc meetings.
Maintain strong collaboration with health departments, partners, and internal departments.
Promote CCMDD services through marketing and awareness campaigns.
Operational Oversight
Monitor project progress and evaluate outcomes against targets.
Resolve queries and complaints from facilities and pick-up points (PUPs).
Manage and report on project KPIs: dormant patients, script renewals, PMP returns, active/closed patients, etc.
Ensure effective implementation of facility and staff training.
Compliance and Governance
Ensure compliance with the Pharmacy Act, Good Pharmacy Practice, POPI Act, and internal SOPs.
Review and assess compliance of processes and practices regularly.
Administrative and Analytical Functions
Analyse reports to inform decision-making and solve queries efficiently.
Monitor incoming scripts and mailboxes to identify opportunities for programme growth.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and evaluations.
Logistics and Resource Management
Support logistical planning including fleet/resource management where required.
Supervise and support staff to ensure productivity and programme success.
Minimum Requirements
Matric / Grade 12
National Diploma (3 years or higher) in:
Business Management,
Operations Management, or
Customer Services Management
3+ years in stakeholder relationship management
2+ years in administrative or business management roles
Computer Literacy:
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Driver’s License: Code 8 or 10
Clinical pharmaceutical knowledge
Preferred Experience (Ideal, Not Mandatory)
Experience working in:
Courier pharmacy environment
CCMDD programme
Logistics / fleet management
