Job Description:
MSP Staffing Pty Ltd, a leading recruitment and staffing agency, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Overseer on behalf of one of South Africa’s top-tier mining clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading a mining team in a massive hard rock mining environment located in the Free State.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily underground mining operations and ensure adherence to production targets.

Manage and coordinate the activities of mining teams to achieve safety, cost, and productivity goals.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Provide effective leadership, mentorship, and performance management to mining personnel.

Monitor and report on mining activities, risks, and operational performance.

Collaborate with engineering, planning, and maintenance departments to ensure operational efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in mining operations.
Minimum Requirements:

Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency (essential)

Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent)

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Mine Overseer in a massive hard rock mining environment

Strong knowledge of mining regulations and safety standards

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
