     Purpose of the Job

    Reporting to the Project Manager, the Bookkeeper is responsible for accurate financial capturing and processing using the WorkSmart system, ensuring all work is completed within budget and aligned with company policies and procedures. The role includes administrative duties, stock management, and support with creditors, debtors, and financial controls.

    Minimum Education & Experience

    Essential:

    • Matric / Grade 12

    • Minimum 2 years’ bookkeeping experience

    • Minimum 1 year experience working with WorkSmart

    • Customer relations experience

    Advantageous:

    • Business Administration qualification

    Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Strong organisational and planning ability

    • Computer literacy (MS Office essential)

    • WorkSmart proficiency

    • Financial acumen

    • Basic management skills

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    Key Responsibilities

     Financial Processing & Data Management

    • Accurate daily capturing of financial transactions using the WorkSmart system.

    • Data capturing for financial and operational records.

    • Processing claims within required timelines.

    • Assisting with monthly price and purchasing code updates.

     Stock Management

    • Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes.

    • Capture stock take data accurately.

    • Perform depot stock spot checks when required.

    • Order daily stock items and maintain correct par levels.

     Creditors, Debtors & Cash Control

    • Assist with creditor and debtor processing.

    • Handle cash-ups and banking responsibilities.

    • Confirm pricing with suppliers.

     Administration

    • Complete general office admin including typing, filing, and document organisation.

    • Support the Project Manager with adhoc administrative requirements.
