Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounting and finance functions of an FMCG or manufacturing enterprise. This role involves overseeing cost accounting processes, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant accounting standards. The Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting decision-making, and maintaining the financial health of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Management

Maintain accurate financial records and manage day-to-day accounting operations.

Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management review.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Cost Accounting

Monitor and manage production costs, inventory valuation, and cost allocation.

Analyse cost data to support budgeting, pricing, and financial decision-making.
Financial Analysis & Reporting

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
Compliance & Control

Ensure accurate bookkeeping and adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.

Maintain internal control systems and support audits as required.
Candidate Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.

Cost accounting experience is essential.

Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of FMCG/manufacturing financial processes advantageous.
