Purpose of the Role
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities for the division. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing financial insights, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing financial performance, and managing finance team operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with South African financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
Financial Planning and Strategy
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Support business growth through effective financial management.
- Drive initiatives aimed at improving profitability and cash flow.
- Provide strategic financial recommendations to senior management.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets.
- Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Support informed business decision-making through financial analysis.
Financial Analysis and Performance Monitoring
- Analyse financial data and performance trends.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.

Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with operational and departmental teams.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree in:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Related Financial Field
Advantageous Qualifications
- Professional certification such as:

- Proven experience in:

- Experience within the automotive industry or a related sector is advantageous.
