    Purpose of the Role

    The Finance Manager is responsible for leading financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities for the division. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing financial insights, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing financial performance, and managing finance team operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Reporting and Compliance

    • Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with South African financial regulations and reporting standards.
    • Maintain accurate and timely financial records.
    • Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.

    Financial Planning and Strategy

    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Support business growth through effective financial management.
    • Drive initiatives aimed at improving profitability and cash flow.
    • Provide strategic financial recommendations to senior management.

    Budgeting and Forecasting

    • Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor actual performance against budgets.
    • Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
    • Support informed business decision-making through financial analysis.

    Financial Analysis and Performance Monitoring

    • Analyse financial data and performance trends.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
    • Provide actionable insights to improve business performance.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Collaborate with operational and departmental teams.
    • Support alignment between financial objectives and business operations.
    • Present financial reports and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

    Audit and Regulatory Management

    • Manage relationships with external auditors.
    • Coordinate audit processes and requirements.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Degree in:
      • Finance
      • Accounting
      • Related Financial Field

    Advantageous Qualifications

    • Professional certification such as:
      • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
      • South African Institute of Chartered Accountants Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))

    Experience

    • Proven experience in:
      • Financial management
      • Financial reporting
      • Financial analysis
      • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Experience within the automotive industry or a related sector is advantageous.

    Preferred Experience

    • Automotive sector experience.
    • Knowledge of South African tax legislation and compliance.
