Job Overview
Power Fashion, part of Mr Price Group Limited, is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of its store in Sasolburg.
The successful candidate will assist the Store Manager in ensuring smooth store operations, managing employees, maintaining company standards, controlling stock losses and driving sales performance. The candidate must also be able to take charge of the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
Key Responsibilities
Handle the banking of money and oversee cash office operations.
Relieve the Store Manager when required.
Maintain company standards relating to housekeeping, merchandising, security and discipline.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Assist with staff management and supervision.
Ensure front-end controls are properly implemented.
Oversee cash office operations and minimise stock losses.
Maintain excellent customer service standards.
Introduce and implement sales initiatives to achieve store targets.
Monitor store productivity and operational performance.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must have:
Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics will be an advantage) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
Previous experience managing people.
Previous experience managing a department.
Clothing retail experience will be highly advantageous.
