Job Description
This role focuses on monitoring surveillance systems and ensuring the safety and security of the site.
You will be responsible for:
- Watching CCTV footage
- Identifying suspicious activity
- Reporting incidents
- Supporting overall security operations
The main goal is to prevent crime and maintain safety through effective surveillance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Surveillance & Monitoring
- Monitor CCTV cameras continuously
- Detect and report suspicious behaviour
- Ensure all surveillance systems are functioning
Reporting & Administration
- Record incidents in the incident register daily
- Write clear and accurate reports
- Maintain proper documentation
Risk Management
- Identify potential security risks
- Help reduce crime and safety threats
- Follow risk management procedures
Control Room Operations
- Manage all control room activities
- Ensure compliance with site procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain discipline and order in operations
Security Control
- Manage key control systems
- Support investigations of incidents
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate or Grade 11
- PSIRA Grade C registration (required)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in security
- CCTV experience
- Clear criminal record
- Medically fit
- Able to work shifts
