Job Description
The Sales and Service Consultant is responsible for acquiring and educating customers, driving sales, promoting digital migration and activating complementary products. The role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with account servicing and origination, resolving customer queries and ensuring compliance with financial services regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Service
- Convert identified leads into successful sales.
- Meet agreed sales targets.
- Acquire and retain customers through excellent service.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and services.
- Assist customers with account servicing and account origination.
- Issue cards and assist with customer queries.
- Drive digital migration and educate customers on digital and self-service channels.
- Prioritise customer activation during onboarding.
- Resolve customer queries efficiently and within agreed timelines.
- Prevent account closures by providing effective customer support.
Compliance and Risk
- Conduct customer verification and regulatory checks.
- Comply with FICA, POPIA, NCR and FAIS requirements.
- Follow Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
- Operate within the company’s code of conduct, policies and procedures.
- Identify and escalate matters outside the approved mandate.
- Help prevent operational losses by following compliance procedures.

Requirements
Minimum Qualification
- NQF Level 4 qualification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant NQF Level 5 qualification as prescribed by the Financial Services Board.
- Regulatory Exam qualification.
- Recognised Business Diploma or Higher Certificate at NQF Level 6.
- Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office.
Experience
- 1–2 years’ related experience.
- FAIS experience required.
