    This role focuses on quality control and laboratory testing to ensure products meet food safety and production standards.

     Job Description

    As a Laboratory Technician, you will conduct routine laboratory tests, analyse samples, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. You’ll work closely with production teams to maintain consistent product quality and operational efficiency.

     Key Responsibilities

     Laboratory Operations

    • Set up, operate, and maintain lab equipment
    • Prepare chemical and microbiological reagents
    • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly

     Testing & Quality Control

    • Conduct sampling and testing of raw and finished products
    • Perform routine QC analysis
    • Identify and report non-conforming results
    • Approve/release raw materials and final products

     Reporting & Documentation

    • Accurately record and file test results
    • Prepare reports on findings and deviations
    • Ensure proper documentation before product release

     Hygiene & Compliance

    • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment
    • Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
    • Adhere to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP)

     Safety Management

    • Follow PPE and lab safety procedures
    • Report hazards, incidents, and equipment breakdowns
    • Understand emergency protocols (e.g., eye wash, first aid)

     Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in:
      • Food Technology
      • Microbiology
      • Biotechnology (or related field)
    • 2–3 years’ experience in a lab or production environment
    • Basic knowledge of:
      • Laboratory testing procedures
      • Quality control principles
      • Food safety standards (HACCP, GMP)
    • Computer literacy (MS Office)
    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime
