- B.Com Accounting
- CIMA qualification (advantageous)
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
- 3 years of relevant experience in cost accounting
Key Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:
- Implement and develop a robust costing system
- Maintain detailed costing records
- Conduct project costing and analyze margins
- Generate comprehensive costing and margin reports
- Develop and refine costing models
- Monitor purchase and sales price variances
- Perform stock evaluations at month-end
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and pricing structure adjustments
- Support stock counts and ensure inventory accuracy
