Tender Objective
The Department of Water and Sanitation is inviting suitably qualified contractors to undertake corrosion protection, repainting of the hall roof, and replacement of structural beams and ceiling at the Vaal Dam Office in Deneysville. The project aims to improve the structural integrity, safety, and appearance of the facility.
Scope of Work
The successful contractor will be responsible for:
- Supplying all required materials.
- Providing all labour required for the project.
- Applying corrosion protection treatments to the existing roof structure.
- Repainting the hall roof using approved materials.
- Replacing damaged or deteriorated beams.
- Replacing the ceiling.
- Completing all work in accordance with the Department’s quality and safety standards.
Technical Requirements
The contractor must be capable of:
- Carrying out corrosion protection treatments suitable for steel roof structures.
- Performing roof preparation and repainting using durable, weather-resistant coatings.
- Removing and replacing structural beams where required.
- Installing new ceiling materials to the required standard.
- Complying with occupational health and safety requirements throughout the project.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- CIDB Contractor Grading: 1 GB or higher.
- Experience in:
- Building maintenance.
- Roof repairs and painting.
- Corrosion protection.
- Structural repairs.
- Ceiling installation and replacement.
- Qualified personnel with the necessary technical skills.
- The ability to supply materials and complete the work within the required timeframe.
