Tender Description
The municipality requires multidisciplinary professionals to provide technical studies, planning, and consulting services for cemetery expansions and township developments. The work includes engineering, environmental, and planning services over multiple projects.
Scope of Work
- Provide services in:
- Civil, Electrical & Traffic Engineering
- Land Surveying & Geology
- Environmental Studies
- Township Planning
- Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Prepare subdivision diagrams and township layouts
- Develop reports on:
- Water demand & sanitation
- Stormwater management
- Electrical infrastructure
- Traffic impact
- Geotechnical conditions
- Support township establishment processes and approvals
Projects will take place in areas such as Bethlehem, Fouriesburg, Mashaeng, Clarens, and Rosendal.
Technical Requirements
- Submit project programme and implementation plan
- Provide:
- Subdivision diagrams
- Environmental and technical reports
- Comply with standards:
- SANS 10845-3
- GCC
- COLTO
- CIDB guidelines
- Submit:
- Fee proposals
- Technical approach
- Project schedules
- Provide Professional Indemnity Insurance (R5 million)
- Obtain required permits (e.g., wayleaves)
Professional Registration Requirements
Applicants must have registered professionals such as:
- Civil / Electrical / Traffic Engineers – ECSA registered
- Geologist – SACNASP registered
- Land Surveyor – SAGC registered
- Environmentalist – EAPASA registered
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years post-registration experience
- Proven track record in:
- Township development
- Environmental assessments
- Infrastructure projects
- Evidence of similar projects completed in the last 10 years
Key Skills Required
- Strong project management and planning skills
- Ability to produce detailed technical reports
- Stakeholder coordination and communication
- Knowledge of municipal processes and compliance
- Accurate and complete tender documentation
