Responsibilities:
Client Relationship & Financial Advice:
Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses (FNA) using approved Absa tools
Present tailored investment, risk, and estate planning solutions aligned to the client’s goals
Follow FAIS regulations and Absa’s client engagement process
Build professional relationships with stakeholders, including clients, product providers, and Absa banking staff
Sales & Business Development:
Meet growth and sales targets through lead generation and relationship management
Use client insights and prospecting to recommend appropriate Absa-approved financial products
Maintain and update client databases and records
Compliance & Practice Management:
Ensure full compliance with FAIS, FICA, and Absa business standards
Train, mentor, and manage support staff (adviser assistants) within the adviser practice
Complete all mandatory Absa compliance training and maintain FAIS Fit and Proper status
Operational Excellence:
Track commission earnings, ensure policy accuracy, and maintain financial documentation
Provide monthly performance feedback to managers and business partners
Manage and review client portfolios at least annually to ensure continued suitability
Professional Development:
Attend internal Absa and FAIS training programs
Stay up to date with the latest financial products, regulatory updates, and sales techniques
Qualifications:
A minimum of a FAIS-recognised qualification in financial planning or a related field
Compliance with Fit and Proper requirements (honesty, integrity, solvency)
Previous experience in financial services or sales (preferred)
