Job Purpose
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and counting products in accordance with picking instructions to ensure efficient and error-free order fulfillment. This role supports warehouse operations by maintaining product accuracy, quality control, and compliance with safety standards. The operator plays a vital role in achieving customer satisfaction through timely and precise preparation of orders.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.

Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in a similar warehouse or picking role, preferably within the FMCG Retail industry.

License: Valid Electric Pallet Jack License.

Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct loose case and layer picking by accurately selecting and gathering products based on order instructions.

Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and quality control.

Ensure pallet stability and safe stacking during picking and preparation for transport.

Verify quantities and product accuracy to complete orders correctly.

Identify and report out-of-stock or short-picked items promptly.

Operate picking equipment safely to locate and retrieve products efficiently.

Collaborate with the inventory control team to maintain up-to-date stock records and report discrepancies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following company standards.

Report product or packaging issues (e.g., damaged goods or incorrect labeling).

Participate in training sessions to improve picking accuracy and product knowledge.

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to company policies and safety protocols.

Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure workplace safety compliance.

Support the team’s operational goals by contributing to daily targets and productivity.
