Job Purpose
The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods using assigned trucks, performing pre-delivery inspections, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining clear communication, and upholding safety, compliance, and customer service standards. The driver contributes directly to the efficiency of the transportation process within the FMCG environment.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.

Experience: 3–5 years driving experience, preferably in FMCG Retail.

License: Code 10 or Code 14 (EC) with a valid PDP.

Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities

Safely operate assigned trucks for deliveries.

Conduct pre-inspection checks to ensure truck roadworthiness.

Verify and deliver goods accurately and on time.

Maintain daily records including mileage, fuel usage, delivery receipts, and incidents.

Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders.

Report mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.

Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and traffic regulations.

Maintain a clean and organized truck, including all necessary equipment and documentation.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines.

Participate in team meetings, training, and coaching sessions.

Support team goals and contribute to efficient warehouse and delivery operations.
