    Job Purpose

    To drive business growth through the acquisition of new clients and the development of a sustainable short-term insurance portfolio. The OUTsurance Broker will sell personal and commercial insurance products, identify new business opportunities, and build long-term client relationships while upholding the company’s values of service excellence, integrity, and innovation.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Education: Matric / National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) – required

    • Experience:

      • Minimum of 3 years’ external sales experience in a face-to-face environment.

      • Proven track record in lead generation, cold calling, and relationship management.

    • Driver’s Licence: Valid Code B licence.

    • Own Vehicle: Must have uninterrupted access to a reliable vehicle.

    If Previously Appointed as a FAIS Representative:

    • FAIS Credits / Full Insurance Qualification (as per Date of First Appointment – DOFA).

    • RE5 Certificate (as per DOFA requirements).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prospect and canvass for new clients to build a profitable book of short-term insurance business.

    • Sell personal and commercial insurance products to individuals and businesses.

    • Conduct needs analyses to provide appropriate insurance solutions to clients.

    • Generate leads, follow up on referrals, and build relationships to drive continuous sales.

    • Prepare and submit quotations, applications, and policy documentation accurately and timeously.

    • Provide exceptional after-sales service, handling client queries and renewals.

    • Monitor portfolio performance and ensure client retention and satisfaction.

    • Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements under the FAIS and FICA Acts.

    • Collaborate with the Regional Manager and Commercial team to meet sales and growth targets.

    Reporting Line

    Reports directly to the OUTsurance Broker Regional Manager and collaborates closely with the Commercial Sales Team.
