Project Overview
The National Health Laboratory Service is seeking a qualified refrigeration and air-conditioning service provider to test, diagnose, repair, and restore the functionality of refrigeration and HVAC equipment located at the NHLS Pelonomi Laboratory in Bloemfontein.
The contract involves one refrigerator and three split-unit air conditioners that are currently experiencing operational faults.
Scope of Work
1. Refrigerator Testing and Repair
Equipment:
- Defy D246 MFSAXTH843KA00
Requirements:
- Conduct a full diagnostic assessment.
- Test all refrigeration functions.
- Identify faults and required repairs.
- Replace defective components where necessary.
- Restore unit to full operational condition.
2. Air Conditioner Testing and Repairs
Unit 1
Equipment:
- LG Split-Type Air Conditioner
Reported Fault:
- Not cooling.
Unit 2
Equipment:
- Carrier Split-Type Air Conditioner
Reported Fault:
- Error code CH38.
- Not cooling.
Unit 3
Equipment:
- Thermocold Split-Type Air Conditioner
Reported Fault:
- Not cooling.
Repair Requirements for All Units:
- Full inspection and fault diagnosis.
- Functional testing.
- Repair and replacement of faulty components.
- Refrigerant system checks where applicable.
- Performance testing after repairs.
- Confirmation of operational status.
Technical Requirements
The appointed contractor must:
- Conduct comprehensive fault assessments.
- Provide testing and repair services.
- Supply and install replacement parts where necessary.

Contingency Provision
