    Technician Control Plant Maintenance Job Description

    The position is officially titled Technician Control Plant Maintenance Metering (Distribution) and is an internal vacancy under Task Grade T11. Your main responsibility will be to operate, maintain, commission, diagnose faults, and repair control plant equipment in a safe, effective manner according to Eskom’s high standards.

    What Qualifications Do You Need?

    Eskom requires candidates to have a solid educational and practical foundation, including:

    • Qualification: National N Diploma / National Diploma in Electrical Engineering at NQF level 6 (with 240 credits)

    • Experience: At least 3 years of practical experience (P1 + P2) in a technical environment

    • Professional Registration: Not applicable for this role

    • Driver’s Licence: Valid Code 08 driver’s licence is essential

    As a Technician in Control Plant Maintenance, your key duties include:

    • Maintaining control plant equipment to ensure efficient operation
