    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and update the supplier and contractor database

    • Register suppliers on the business management system

    • Request and receive quotations from vendors

    • Capture procurement specifications in the electronic purchasing system

    • Place and process purchase orders

    • Provide secretariat and logistical support during bid and contract conclusion processes

    • Assist in compiling draft procurement documents

    • Receive and verify deliveries from suppliers and capture data into relevant registers

    • Issue goods to end-users and handle related logistics

    • Conduct spot checks, stock counts, and maintain inventory control

    • Organize and maintain accurate filing systems and procurement records

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum Requirement:

      • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent

    • Preferred Qualification:

      • Recognised National Diploma in:

        • Supply Chain Management

        • Logistics

        • Public Management

        • Or a related field

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Basic understanding of supply chain duties and data capturing

    • Familiarity with public service legislative frameworks (PFMA, PPPFA, CET Act)

    • Knowledge of asset disposal and asset management procedures

    • Competencies in:

      • Communication (verbal & written)

      • Computer literacy

      • Planning & organizing

      • Teamwork & flexibility

      • Customer service orientation
