JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this tender is to appoint a qualified supplier to provide and deliver Radar Gear Box Oil for aviation equipment maintenance.
The oil is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of radar systems at the airport.
SCOPE OF WORK
1. Supply of Radar Gear Box Oil
- Supply 20-litre containers of gear box oil
- Oil specification: ISO Viscosity Grade 320
2. Delivery Services
- Deliver oil to Bram Fischer International Airport (FABL)
- Ensure timely delivery on an as-and-when required basis
- Maintain reliable supply chain over a 5-year period
3. Quality Assurance & Testing
- Provide oil samples before supply approval
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, including:
- Viscosity
- Density
- Flash point
- Pour point
- Submit verification results where required
4. Ongoing Supply Management
- Respond to ad hoc purchase orders
- Maintain stock availability for long-term contract
- Ensure consistent quality throughout contract duration
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Supplied oil must meet the following standards:
- ISO Viscosity Grade 320
- Correct kinematic viscosity values
- Approved viscosity index
- Correct density at 15°C
- Flash point (C.O.C. compliant)
- Low pour point suitable for operational conditions
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience in supplying lubricants or industrial oils
- Ability to handle long-term supply contracts (5 years)
- Strong logistics and delivery capability
- Knowledge of quality assurance and testing procedures
- Ability to provide technical documentation and samples
- Compliance with aviation and safety standards
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be registered on Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Ability to manage on-demand supply orders
- Must maintain confidentiality and compliance standards
- Must have infrastructure for storage and distribution
