    Tender Overview

    The National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) requires a service provider to supply and deliver drinking water to Free State laboratory facilities for a period of 12 months.

    The purpose is to ensure uninterrupted, safe, and quality-controlled drinking water supply to support laboratory staff and operations.

    Scope of Work

    The appointed supplier will be responsible for:

    • Supplying drinking water in 20-litre containers.

    • Delivering water to multiple laboratory sites across the Free State.

    • Providing approximately 1,356 units (20L containers) over the contract period.

    • Ensuring monthly deliveries to all designated sites.

    • Providing all required labour, transport, and logistics for delivery.

    • Maintaining consistent service delivery for 12 months.

    Technical Requirements

    The bidder must:

    • Supply drinking water compliant with quality standards.

    • Ensure water pH levels are between 6.5 and 8.5.

    • Deliver according to the agreed monthly schedule.

    • Notify NHLS promptly of any delivery delays or challenges.

    • Submit catalogues/brochures where applicable.

    • Complete and tick the generic specification template (where applicable).

    1. Original Tax Clearance Certificate

    2. Original or Certified Copy of BBBEE Certificate

    3. Declaration of Interest (SBD 4)

    4. Specific Goals Form (SBD 6.1)

    5. Central Supplier Database (CSD) Report

    6. All RFQ pages initialed

    7. Proof of residence

    8. Catalogue (where applicable)

    9. Completed generic specification template (where applicable)

    Failure to submit required documents may result in disqualification.

    • Experience in bulk drinking water supply and distribution.

    • Ability to manage logistics across multiple delivery sites.

    • Knowledge of water quality and compliance standards.

    • Capacity for consistent monthly deliveries.
