Tender Overview
The Department of Public Works is inviting suitable contractors to repair Boiler Number 1 and three additional faulty boilers at Kroonstad Prison (DCS).
The objective is to restore the boilers to full operational condition and ensure safe and efficient functioning within the correctional facility.
This is a mechanical engineering repair project requiring CIDB registration under the Mechanical Engineering (ME) class of works.
Scope of Work
The successful contractor will be responsible for:
Repair of Boiler Number 1
Repair of three additional faulty boilers
Ensuring safe operation of all repaired systems
Conducting necessary testing and commissioning after repairs
Compliance with applicable safety and engineering standards
The work will be carried out at Kroonstad Prison.
Technical Requirements
CIDB contractor grading designation of 1 ME or higher
Emerging enterprises must have a CIDB grading of PE (Potentially Emerging) within the applicable value range
Compliance with mechanical engineering standards
Adherence to health and safety regulations
