Job Overview
The Store Manager is responsible for leading and managing the PEP Fouriesburg store to achieve key business performance indicators (KPIs). The role focuses on driving sales, controlling costs, minimising stock loss, ensuring accurate administration, and maintaining world-class store standards. As a PEP Dynamo, the Store Manager leads by example, inspires teamwork, and delivers an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Experience
Drive sales growth through excellent customer service and a strong service culture.
Ensure world-class store standards and a consistently appealing store image.
Manage stock availability and ensure effective implementation of promotions.
Stock Loss & Risk Control
Minimise stock loss by maintaining strong store discipline and a positive store culture.
Ensure compliance with security, stock control, and cash handling procedures.
Cost Management
Control store expenses in line with PEP’s low-cost operating model.
Drive operational efficiencies to improve profitability.
Administration & Compliance
Ensure all store administration is completed accurately and according to company policies.
Maintain compliance with internal procedures and retail standards.
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a dynamic team of PEP Dynamos.
Manage staff performance, training, and ongoing development.
Foster a motivated, accountable, and customer-focused team environment.
Health, Safety & Store Standards
Maintain high standards of health, safety, housekeeping, and cleanliness.
Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Grade 12 (Matric).
Proficiency in English.
A degree or diploma in a business or retail-related field will be an advantage.
Experience
Ideally 1–2 years’ experience in a retail environment in a leadership or supervisory role.
Skills & Competencies
Computer literacy (Microsoft and/or Google GSuite advantageous).
Strong planning, organising, leadership, and control skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people-management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
Willingness to work retail hours.
