Responsibilities:

Deliver basic clinical nursing care in line with professional standards.

Promote quality nursing as guided by the relevant facility and professional scope.

Communicate with patients, supervisors, and other clinicians.

Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Respect and cooperate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Advocate for the basic needs and care of learners.

Demonstrate awareness of patients’ needs and offer responsive care.
Qualifications & Requirements:
-
Grade 12 (Matric).
-
A qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.

Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
-
Valid Driver’s License.
-
Experience working with youth with severe emotional and behavioural challenges is an advantage.
Experience Grades (for Salary Determination):
-
Grade 1: No experience required.

Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ appropriate experience after SANC registration.

Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ appropriate experience after SANC registration.
Knowledge & Competencies:

Basic understanding of nursing legislation, ethical practices, and professional standards.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Compassionate care and advocacy for learners’ health and well-being.

Ability to work in diverse, multi-disciplinary environments
