    Responsibilities:

    • Analyse large and/or unstructured datasets using statistical and programming skills.

      As a Senior Officer, you will be expected to implement innovative solutions that drive data accessibility and usability across departments.

    • Develop and maintain dashboards, platforms, and reports.

    • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and centralised knowledge management.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide actionable data insights.

    • Conduct research integrating traditional and data-driven approaches.

    • Present findings in conferences, journals, and workshops.

    • Train CTL staff in statistical data analysis.

    • Support predictive analytics and modelling for student success initiatives.

      The Senior Officer will also liaise with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with institutional goals.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma/B.Tech/Postgraduate Certificate (NQF Level 7) in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.

      Prospective candidates for the Senior Officer position should possess a strong analytical background to navigate challenges in data management.

    • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in data analytics/analysis/science.

    • Experience with large datasets and experimentation.

    Recommendations (Preferred):

    • Postgraduate qualification.

    • Higher education sector experience.

    • Proficiency in SAS, Python, R, SQL, and Excel.

    • Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).

    • Strong background in data mining, modelling, and AI in analytics.

    Competencies:
