Tender Overview
The Department of Land Reform and Rural Development seeks to appoint a qualified service provider to render comprehensive cleaning and hygiene services at the Lejweleputswa District Office in Welkom for a period of 24 months.
The purpose of the contract is to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment for staff and visitors. The successful bidder will be responsible for daily operational cleaning, hygiene consumables supply, deep cleaning services, and overall facility hygiene management.

Technical Requirements
The service provider must:

Provide trained and experienced cleaning personnel

Supply SABS-approved cleaning chemicals and equipment

Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations

Implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules

Maintain consistent hygiene standards

Provide supervision and performance management

Submit management/service delivery reports

Ensure legal compliance (tax, insurance, COIDA where applicable)
Skills & Qualification Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate:

Experience managing cleaning and hygiene contracts (minimum 2–4 similar projects)

Supervisory staff with 2–4 years’ industry experience

Ability to provide staff training and skills development

Provision of PPE aligned with OHS requirements

Knowledge of OHS Act and hygiene compliance standards

Financial stability and tax compliance

Proven track record in public sector or similar environments
