Job Purpose
The purpose of this project is to remove existing worn carpet and install a new heavy-duty industrial carpet at the Old Town Hall. The work must ensure a safe, durable, fire-resistant, and high-quality flooring solution suitable for a public building with high foot traffic.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The project aims to:
- Remove existing old carpet
- Inspect and prepare the wooden flooring
- Install a new heavy-duty industrial carpet
The goal is to provide a durable, fire-retardant flooring system suitable for a high-traffic public building (Old Town Hall).
SCOPE OF WORK
1. Removal & Preparation
- Remove old carpet safely
- Inspect wooden floors for:
- Loose boards
- Cracks
- Uneven surfaces
- Prepare and repair floor where necessary
2. Supply & Installation
- Supply industrial/commercial-grade carpet
- Install carpet over wooden flooring
- Ensure correct alignment and durability
- Use materials suitable for high foot traffic public use
3. Quality Requirements
- Carpet must be:
- Fire-retardant
- Heavy-duty
- Suitable for public buildings
- Durable for long-term use
4. Compliance
- Follow all:
- Health & Safety regulations

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
