About the Role
Afrirent Auto is seeking an experienced Trailer Technician to maintain and repair its trailer fleet at the Bloemfontein depot. The successful candidate will ensure that all trailers remain roadworthy, safe, and compliant with company and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on side loaders, interlink, and dry freight semi-trailers per manufacturer specifications.

Conduct mechanical inspections, brake tests, and document findings.

Inspect and repair chassis, suspension, bearings, wiring, lights, couplings, and ABS systems.

Complete accurate job cards and condition reports on trailers and key components.

Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, safety standards, and housekeeping requirements.

Participate in breakdown and repair safety procedures.

Carry out additional duties as requested by management.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric).

2–3 years’ experience in trailer maintenance and repairs.

Own toolbox and tools.

Solid understanding of Henred, BPW, and Weweler systems.

Skilled in mechanical, air suspension, and ABS repair work.

Computer literate — able to reprogram trailer modulators and ABS systems.

Knowledge of SHEQ rules and safe workshop practices.

On-site (Bloemfontein Depot).
