Role Purpose
To teach Natural Sciences and Life Sciences to learners in Grades 10–12, ensuring high-quality instruction, effective assessment, and alignment with Curro’s educational standards and values.
Minimum Requirements
-
Recognised academic and professional education qualification (e.g., B.Ed. or PGCE).
-
Experience teaching Natural Sciences and Life Sciences at high school level.
-
Current SACE registration (South African Council for Educators).
-
IEB (Independent Examinations Board) experience preferred.
-
Clear criminal record.
Key Responsibilities
-
Plan, teach, and assess lessons in Natural and Life Sciences.

Record and report on learner progress and assessments.
-
Participate in departmental and grade meetings, workshops, and training.

Foster a positive, engaging classroom environment that promotes learning.

Manage and account for school equipment and classroom resources.
-
Collaborate with other teachers in the phase for effective curriculum delivery.
-
Support and participate in extramural (sport and cultural) activities.
-
Promote discipline, Curro’s ethos, and school values at all times.

Assist with administrative and extracurricular duties as needed.
