Job Purpose:
To manage and coordinate the placement, supervision, and assessment of student teachers during their school-based teaching experience (Work Integrated Learning) across all qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnerships with Schools
-
Liaise with the Department of Education to secure permissions and partnerships.

Evaluate and select schools suitable for student placements.
-
Draft and manage partnership agreements and communications with schools.
2. Student Placement & Support
-
Conduct orientation workshops on professional conduct and school expectations.
-
Manage student placement logistics and maintain placement trackers.
-
Handle disciplinary and reallocation issues when necessary.
-
Conduct progress check-ins with schools and students.
3. Supervisor Recruitment & Training
-
Recruit, onboard, and contract teaching experience supervisors.

Conduct supervisor training sessions.
-
Assign supervisors to students and ensure regular supervision and communication.
4. Administration
-
Track student assessments, documentation, and submissions.
-
Follow up on non-compliance and implement corrective actions.

Compile placement and progress reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
-
B.Ed. Honours Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (NQF Level 8).

Qualification must include Intermediate Phase focus.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years teaching experience in Foundation Phase.
-
5 years experience in teaching training or development processes.
-
1 year in coordination or supervision role.
Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and own car.

No criminal record.
