    Job Overview

    The Storeman at BKB is responsible for the effective control and management of stock to prevent losses and ensure smooth operations within the Retail Trading unit. This role supports daily business activities by overseeing the receiving, storage, movement, and recording of inventory while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and customer service.

    The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can work well under pressure, communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans, and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient stock management in a fast-paced agricultural retail environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive, store, and issue stock accurately

    • Control and manage inventory to prevent stock losses

    • Conduct regular stock counts and stock-taking activities

    • Maintain accurate stock records and administrative documentation

    • Supervise employees involved in stock handling

    • Ensure proper storage, handling, and movement of goods

    • Maintain housekeeping standards and comply with health and safety regulations

    • Assist with deliveries when required (driver’s licence essential)

    • Support inventory management processes and operational efficiency

    Job Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric)

    • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in stock control or a similar role
