Introduction:
MHR is urgently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) / Professional Nurses (PNs) to work part-time shifts in the Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit at a private hospital in Bloemfontein. This is a valuable opportunity to work within a high-tech, specialised unit in one of South Africa’s leading private healthcare facilities.
Purpose of the Position:
To provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Cardiothoracic ICU, ensuring professional, safe, and patient-centered care in line with best practices and regulatory standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse (PN)
Experience in Critical Care or Cardiothoracic ICU (essential)
Ability to function effectively under pressure in a high-acuity environment
Willingness to work flexible part-time shifts (day/night/weekends)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, compassionate, and competent nursing care to critically ill patients
Monitor patients’ clinical conditions and provide timely interventions
Administer medications and treatments accurately
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
Provide emotional support to patients and their families
