Introduction
An opportunity exists for a qualified Occupational Health Nurse to join an established FMCG group operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role is ideal for an independent, proactive health professional who thrives on-site and has a strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and wellness in industrial settings.
Purpose of the Role
To provide on-site health and safety services to employees, including first aid, health screening, illness and injury prevention, and the promotion and restoration of overall health. The role also ensures protection from environmental and work-related hazards in compliance with occupational health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Administer first aid and emergency medical support
Conduct health screenings and wellness initiatives
Promote employee health and prevent workplace illnesses/injuries
Identify and manage workplace-related health risks
Ensure compliance with health and safety laws and internal policies
Maintain accurate and confidential health records
Provide guidance on safe work practices and return-to-work procedures
Minimum Requirements
Recognised tertiary nursing qualification
3+ years of experience in an Occupational Health Clinic, ideally in FMCG or manufacturing
Certificate in Audiometry and Spirometry
Dispensing License
Registered with:
South African Nursing Council (SANC) – with Occupational Health registration
SASOHN (South African Society of Occupational Health Nursing)
Valid Code B (08) Driver’s License
Ability to work overtime as needed
Competencies and Attributes

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong knowledge of occupational health practices and legislation
Attention to detail and high ethical standards
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
