Job Overview:
NCRS (Pty) Ltd is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Engineer Assistant to support the effective planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations within the construction or solar industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the daily logistics activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing supply chain functions, and maintaining accurate records to enhance overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods.

Assist with ordering, restocking, and inventory control.

Schedule and coordinate deliveries and pickups.

Supervise and verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
-
Monitor proper loading and offloading procedures.

Identify and report shipment delays or damaged goods.

Ensure driver qualifications, licensing, and training compliance.

Maintain adherence to regulatory and ISO standards.

Execute administrative tasks: filing, scheduling, and record-keeping.

Support demand planning and forecasting.

Contribute to the implementation of logistics strategies.

Ensure full compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations.

Coordinate calendars and training sessions.

Support the logistics team in daily operations and improvement projects.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction or solar industry.

Proficiency in logistics and enterprise software systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, SAP).

Relevant certifications such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if necessary.

Solid knowledge of transportation networks and inventory control.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
