Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible, experienced, and safety-focused Code 14 Driver to operate heavy commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods. The successful candidate will ensure timely deliveries, proper handling of cargo, and strict compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
This role requires strong independence, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and professionalism when interacting with customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Operation & Safety

Operate heavy vehicles safely and legally in accordance with transport regulations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Ensure vehicle roadworthiness and report mechanical issues promptly.
2. Cargo Handling

Oversee safe loading and offloading of goods.

Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage during transit.

Verify delivery documentation and cargo accuracy.
3. Compliance & Documentation

Maintain accurate trip logs and delivery paperwork.

Adhere to road transport legislation and company safety policies.

Comply with all regulatory requirements governing heavy vehicle operation.
4. Customer & Communication

Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and dispatch teams.

Provide professional customer service during deliveries.

Report delays, route challenges, or incidents promptly.
5. Problem Solving & Independence

Manage unexpected road or delivery challenges independently.

Maintain delivery schedules while ensuring safety remains a priority.
Minimum Requirements

Valid Code 14 Driver’s License.

Clean driving record.

Ability to pass a national police check.

Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.

Strong knowledge of road safety and transport regulations.
