Purpose of the Position:
To ensure the Premier vehicle fleet is roadworthy, reliable, cost-effective, and available for daily operations. This role supports the technical maintenance and compliance of fleet assets, working closely with the Transport Controller and broader logistics team.

Qualifications:

Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent

Valid C1 driver’s license (EC1 is an advantage)
Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in fleet management or vehicle maintenance

Technical background is essential
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Maintenance & Control:
-
Perform lube services and assist in general maintenance tasks
-
Complete daily fleet check sheets and report any defects
-
Ensure vehicles are booked, taken for service, and collected on time
-
Carry out post-service inspections
-
Ensure Certificate of Fitness (COF) is done monthly
Workshop & Administrative Duties:
-
Maintain cleanliness and order of workshop bay and storeroom

Submit job cards and parts lists for sign-off
-
Ensure pre- and post-trip inspection books are filed correctly

Monitor and report accidents, damages, and violations
-
Support tyre stock control and monthly reconciliations
Compliance & Support:

Track and manage fines and traffic violations

Be available for after-hours breakdown support

Support different roles within the department when required
