The Account Manager – Water Treatment is responsible for managing and expanding customer accounts within the HVAC, cooling water, boilers, effluent, and related water treatment markets. The primary focus of this role is to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and ensure profitability by delivering high-quality technical and commercial solutions to clients. This includes servicing existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, preparing proposals, and providing technical support in line with the company’s product portfolio.
The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, strong customer relationship management skills, and a strategic mindset. The Account Manager will oversee annual reviews of strategic accounts, lead and support service teams, and provide management with accurate reports on customer visits and area performance. The position plays a critical role in driving customer value and contributing to the company’s competitive advantage in the water treatment industry.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow customer accounts in the HVAC, cooling water, boilers, effluent, and related markets.

Achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives aligned with company goals.

Conduct annual reviews for strategic and major accounts to assess performance and set new targets.

Train, guide, and support the service team; accompany them on sales and service visits.

Provide monthly area reports on customer interactions and present updates to management.

Service and monitor applications and projects within HVAC, air-conditioning, and refrigeration markets.

Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, quotes, and tenders.

Identify and drive new business opportunities through value creation and technical expertise.

Maintain strong customer relationships while delivering solutions that leverage the company’s product portfolio.
Minimum Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred but not essential).

Previous experience selling or servicing water treatment chemicals within cooling water, HVAC, boilers, or effluent markets (essential).

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
