    The Qualified Wheel Alignment Technician is responsible for accurately aligning vehicle wheels according to manufacturer specifications to ensure optimal handling, ride comfort, tyre longevity, and overall vehicle safety. This role involves conducting detailed inspections of suspension and steering components, identifying defects, performing technical adjustments, and ensuring that all work is completed in a clean, well-equipped workshop environment.

    The technician must interpret alignment measurement reports, diagnose issues based on tyre wear patterns and vehicle behaviour, and communicate findings clearly to customers. The position also requires the ability to identify potential sales opportunities, maintain workshop tools and equipment, uphold high housekeeping standards, and deliver excellent customer service.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Perform wheel alignment using accredited methods and proper calibration procedures.

    • Conduct thorough inspections of steering, suspension, tyres, and rims to identify defects or safety issues.

    • Interpret alignment reports and relate measurements to vehicle handling and tyre wear.

    • Test drive vehicles when required to confirm faults or verify repairs.

    • Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and alignment machinery.

    • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the workshop.

    • Attend to customer requirements with accuracy and professionalism.

    • Identify and maximise additional or new sales opportunities.

    • Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and company standards.

     Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric).

    • Valid driver’s licence.

    • Valid Certificate of Competence (Wheel Alignment accreditation).

    • Technical qualification (advantageous).

    • Ability to operate, calibrate, and test wheel alignment equipment.

    • Experience interpreting alignment measurements and performing technical adjustments.

    • Knowledge of tyre wear patterns and their relation to vehicle behaviour.

    • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to customers.
