PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support the Store Manager in running day-to-day operations, leading the team, driving sales, maintaining world-class customer service, and upholding high store standards. You’ll play a key role in staff performance, stock control, cash handling, and ensuring health and safety compliance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

| Education | Grade 12 (Matric); Tertiary qualification is a plus |
| Experience | 3–5 years as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager, ideally in FMCG retail |
| License | Valid Driver’s License (own vehicle preferred) |
| Technical Skills | Microsoft Office proficiency; Stock & Inventory Management; Sales Reporting |
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the store team to achieve sales targets
Ensure excellent customer service at all times
Handle stock receiving, counts, expiry checks, and merchandising
Oversee cash management – floats, banking, and cashier functions
Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and food safety standards
Conduct training, coaching, and performance management of team
Analyze store sales data and identify areas for improvement
Oversee store opening and closing, and security
Support and promote Econo Foods’ HO HOLA Culture (recognition & appreciation)
