    Job Overview / Description: Office Sales Manager

    The Office Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, increasing policy numbers, and leading a team of field agents and office sales staff. The role focuses on achieving monthly sales targets through strong sales leadership, strategic market growth, and excellent client service. The Office Sales Manager is accountable for recruiting, training, and managing the branch sales team while ensuring compliance with company sales processes and regulatory requirements.

    The role involves developing and executing sales plans, implementing marketing and activation campaigns, and identifying new market opportunities to expand the branch footprint. The Office Sales Manager also oversees client service operations and ensures high levels of retention and persistency through effective follow-up and support. The position requires strong leadership, performance management, and the ability to work under pressure in a target-driven environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales Leadership

    • Recruit, lead and motivate the branch sales team (office staff and field agents)

    • Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and monitor performance

    • Conduct morning sales briefings and end-of-day performance reviews

    Sales Growth & Targets

    • Achieve monthly sales targets for new business

    • Grow the branch footprint through activations, door-to-door campaigns, and marketing drives

    • Identify and pursue new market opportunities

    Staff Management

    • Recruit, onboard, and train new field agents

    • Monitor productivity, attendance, and accountability

    • Conduct weekly individual performance reviews and coaching sessions

    • Ensure compliance with Covision sales processes, ethical guidelines, and FSCA expectations

    Client Service & Retention

    • Oversee walk-in client services and ensure excellent customer experience

    • Drive persistency and retention through effective client support

    Branch Operations

    • Ensure the branch is fully staffed and presentable

    • Assist with office reporting (daily sales reports, weekly summaries, monthly performance)

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12)

    • Minimum 3 years sales management experience (insurance or funeral industry preferred)

    • Strong leadership and team management skills

    • Valid driver’s licence and own car (advantageous but not mandatory)

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets

    • Knowledge of funeral operations or insurance sales is a strong advantage

    • Excellent communication skills in English and local languages
