Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair industrial/commercial refrigeration systems.

Conduct testing, diagnosis, and preventive maintenance on equipment.

Charge and leak test refrigeration systems.

Perform start-up checks, adjust systems, and document maintenance work.

Coordinate with operations to complete work orders efficiently.

Implement and uphold Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.

Assist in project scoping, installation, and commissioning.

Manage spare parts requisition and stock control.

Train and guide maintenance assistants and handymen.

Respond to emergencies during or after hours to ensure operational safety.
Qualifications & Experience

Matric certificate and completion of an approved apprenticeship in electrical or industrial/commercial refrigeration trades.

Qualified or registered artisan.

Authorised refrigeration practitioner CAT B (Transport Refrigeration or Air Conditioning & Refrigeration).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in plant installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial/commercial refrigeration systems.

Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
