     Job Description

    The Wellness Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by providing knowledgeable advice on healthcare, nutrition, and supplementation products. The role focuses on driving sales, maintaining stock control, and ensuring high store standards within the healthcare department.

     Key Responsibilities

     Customer Service & Sales

    • Provide expert advice on healthcare, fitness, and supplement products

    • Consult with customers to recommend suitable products

    • Drive healthcare sales through cross-selling and upselling

    • Promote a wide range of brands to increase profitability

    • Build strong customer loyalty

     Stock & Risk Management

    • Ensure stock availability in healthcare aisles

    • Follow stock management and rotation principles to prevent wastage

    • Prevent stock losses by adhering to risk management policies

     Store Standards & Merchandising

    • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness

    • Follow merchandising guidelines and procedures

    • Adhere to store Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

     Continuous Development

    • Develop own product knowledge

    • Share information with relief staff to ensure service continuity

     Minimum Requirements

    Education

    • Matric (50% Pure Maths or 50% Maths Literacy)

    • English 50%

    • Desirable: Sports / Fitness / Nutrition qualification

    Experience

    • At least 1 year related experience

    • Experience with sports nutrition and vitamin products

    • Selling skills and customer-related training

    Knowledge

    • Basic knowledge of health, fitness, and supplements

    • Understanding of retail operations (stock management, merchandising, risk management)

    Skills

    • Strong communication and interaction skills
