    Introduction

    Are you a solar tracker expert who thrives in high-energy, on-site environments? This role is ideal for a proactive site leader with deep technical knowledge of tracker systems and a strong background in solar PV construction projects.

    Purpose of the Role

    To lead the Posts, Racks, and Modules (PRM) installation phase on a major utility-scale solar PV site. The role ensures that installation work is performed to specification, on time, and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The supervisor will also support civil and electrical aspects of the project as needed.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors for PRM installation.

    • Conduct daily site inspections and quality assurance checks.

    • Ensure work aligns with project specifications and installation standards.

    • Identify and report deviations or non-conformances.

    • Enforce safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards.

    • Support civil and electrical scopes of work when required.

    • Protect equipment warranties through correct installation oversight.

    • Ensure timely progress towards project milestones.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction management (electrical infrastructure).

    • At least 2 years’ experience on utility-scale solar PV plants.

    • Qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or similar technical field).

    • Strong working knowledge of solar tracker systems.

    • Proficient in construction reporting tools and site documentation.

    • Familiar with South African labour and safety regulations.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
